ONLINE STORE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.

A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

We ship our deliveries with tracking information when possible, and whilst we ship all items as soon as possible it might take up to 90 days for some items to be shipped or longer if advised of an alternative shipping timeframe or that the product is on backorder. If you are not at the specified address when delivery is attempted, it is your responsibility to make arrangements with the shipping company. If your country applies taxes to the shipment, this tax is your responsibility to pay. If your items are returned by the shipping company, your order will not be refunded.

Any item returned due to a failed delivery, your failure to collect the item, incorrect address, or your failure to pay any charges or taxes, will not be refunded.

Some payment methods take longer to process than others. This is your responsibility, we will not process any order until the funds have cleared into our account. Your order is not accepted until you receive a confirmation email, and any time-limits (such as minimum time required to organise a tour) starts from when the order is accepted with cleared funds. It is strongly suggested you pay online using the card payment feature for the best experience.

ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Your personal data, for example phone number and address, may be necessary for us to pass this on to a third party, for example if we use a bus provided by one of our partners. We will only do this when absolutely necessary.

It is your responsibility to get to the pre-arranged meeting point for the specified time. If you are late and the group has already departed, no refund will be available.

Prices on the website are valid at the time of viewing only, and may change at any time. There is no entitlement to partial refund in the event of a price being lowered after you book. In extreme situations, we must reserve the right to issue an additional charge for fuel if prices have increased.

All bookings made are non-transferable and non-refundable (unless otherwise specified).

London Bus Experiences are not responsible if you cancel your trip for any reason (including, but not limited to changing health advice, you contracting a disease, your other transport arrangements cancelled or changed).

If the trip is fully cancelled due to circumstances outside of our control, such as due to an act of god, you will receive a refund via a gift card to use on a future booking.

If the trip is cancelled due to situations within our control, then if it is not possible to rearrange for a different day, you will receive a refund via a gift card to use on a future booking.

Any itineraries given are purely examples and can change at any time. There can be a range of reasons resulting in a changed itinerary.

Some payment methods available take longer to process than others. This is your responsibility, we will not process any order until the funds have cleared into our account. The hire start and finish times plus the purpose of the booking will be agreed prior to the hire date as will the locations to be visited. We reserve the right to decline any hire that has not been truthfully described.

The hirer is responsible to the company for any damage to the vehicle, its fittings or equipment caused by the negligence or misconduct of any passengers carried thereon. The hirer may not cause the hours of work or driving performed by the driver to break the law relating to drivers hours as set out in the 1968 Road Traffic Act and any subsequent amendments. Notices or decorations shall not be displayed from the vehicle without the previous consent of the company in writing. The company shall not be responsible for any failure to execute this contract by reason of accident, fire, tempest, strikes or any cause outside their control. The company shall not be responsible for loss or damage to luggage or other property brought onto the vehicle during the period of hire however caused.

Alcohol may not be taken on to, or consumed on the bus unless by strict arrangement with the company at the time of booking, and confirmation in writing by the company.

The hirer is responsible for removing the debris at the end of the hire. The crew have the right in all circumstances to refuse travel to any person they deem drunken, riotous, or offensive in accordance with PSV ‘Conduct’ Regulations 1990 as amended.

The authority of the driver and / or conductor is final. They have the right to stop the bus, cancel the hire or ask passengers to leave the bus at their discretion for reasons of safety, health, behaviour or any other reason. In such an event, the hirer will not receive compensation.

If any damage occurs which causes our vehicle(s) to be out of use for repairs ‘The Client’ will be liable to pay a daily rate, equal to the stated fee for the booked event whilst it is off the road (limited to £2,000) plus the cost of any extra vehicles ‘The Company’ may need to hire, and any repairs and/or cleaning.

Additional charges such as parking fees, permits or entry fees will be levied in accordance with the charges imposed by the company supplying the services and must be paid by the hirer. Such charges are to be paid on demand or ideally in advance of the date of hire. In addition, the cost of any wilful damage or unreasonable cleaning will be charged to the hirer.

There is no guarantee that the vehicle will perform the journey in any given time and the company shall not be accountable for any loss, inconvenience or damage which may arise from any delay, detention or breakdown. We always try to arrive in good time, before your hire starts, but it is not always possible to be certain that the vehicle will not encounter problems with congestion or road closures.

We shall not be liable to pay any compensation, damages or expenses arising out of any partial or total failure to perform the hire. We cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by traffic conditions or other disruptions beyond our control. This includes emergency road closures caused by accidents or diversions made by Highways Authority or police.

If you wish to cancel the booking we can refund 50% of the balance paid up to 2 weeks before hire date excluding deposit. In the 2 weeks prior to the date no refund will be given.

Pickup and set down points for all hires have to be agreed at the time of paying the balance. The driver has the final decision on the exact route taken. The driver will endeavour to accommodate all reasonable requests from the hirer, but will consider the safety of the passengers, other road users and the vehicle itself when determining the route, and any pickup/set down points.If the hirer is in any doubt as to the suitability of any roads necessary to the execution of the hire for the safe passage of the bus they must notify the Company at the time of booking and pay any charge that is requested for a route survey to be carried out. No liability can be accepted if the bus is unable to safely reach any or all stopping-off points should this not be done and the adjudication of the driver in such circumstances will be final.

The safety of passengers is our first priority. The following guidelines must be followed by all passengers:

  • Passengers may not move between the upper and lower decks while the bus is in motion
  • Passengers must remain seated while the bus is in motion
  • Passengers must act in accordance with any instructions given by the conductor or driver
  • Passengers may not travel on the stairs or platform of the bus.
  • No standing passengers may be carried on any private hire working.
  • The total number of passengers carried will always be limited to the seating capacity displayed on the vehicle. The section relating to standing passengers does not apply on private hire work.
  • Due to the nature of the business our vintage buses cannot accommodate wheelchairs, pushchairs (prams), bicycles, or large items of luggage and you are advised to make alternative arrangements for these requirements.” 2 Folded up pushchairs may be carried with permission of the conductor.

Our vehicles are classic London buses and as such are not fitted with seat belts. If children are coming on board without parents, it is advisable to make the parents aware of this fact, gain their consent and ensure you have adequate adult supervision present on the bus.

Smoking is not permitted on any part of the bus including the rear platform and this includes the upper deck, even on an open top.

In the event of the mechanical failure of any of its buses the Company will endeavour to provide a suitable replacement at the earliest opportunity. However, due to the nature of the business this may take some time and should the hirer decide to make alternative arrangements then the Company cannot accept any responsibility for the costs so incurred.

The Company will always try to provide any vehicle specifically requested at the time of booking for a hire. However, due to the nature of the business it is not always possible to guarantee that any vintage vehicle will always be available for service when required and the Company reserves the right in these circumstances to substitute any suitable alternative vehicle at its own discretion.

GIFT CARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Gift Card is not a credit or charge Gift Card.

Gift Cards can be exchanged for products and services online only.

The balance on the Gift Card may be used for full or part payment of the cost of an online order.

No change will be given but any unused balance will remain on the Gift Card and may be applied to future purchases.

Gift Cards can be used towards the purchase of goods at a higher price than its face value upon payment of the difference.

The Gift Card cannot be exchanged or redeemed in whole or part for cash.

Promotional offers may not apply to Gift Card purchases.

Keep the Gift Card safe and treat it as cash. We will not accept any liability for lost, stolen or damaged Gift Cards or for any remaining balance on the Gift Card.

If you have made an Online payment with a Gift Card in whole or part and any item paid for using the Gift Card is accepted for return the amount owing will be added to the original Gift Card.

We may withdraw or cancel the Gift Card and require an alternative form of payment if we suspect that the Gift Card may have been stolen or fraudulently used. Further action may also be taken.

We reserve the right to amend or supplement these conditions or discontinue the Gift Card at any time.

If the value of the items purchased Online is less than the total value of the Gift Card, you can re-enter the same Gift Card details on another occasion to redeem the remaining balance on your Gift Card.

If the value of the items purchased online is more than the total value of the Gift Card, you will need to pay the balance using additional Gift Cards, or another payment method.
